North West Angle, MN
Another interesting anomaly of US map is North West Angle. It comes under Minnesota state, USA. (Ref: Wikipedia image) About this point: Northwest angle is "angle" is north west of the Lake woods in Minnesota. It is exactly north of 49th parallel. It is the only place north of 49th which forms the border of US and Canada. This is also US exclave. NW angle is the northern most point of 48 contiguous US. Contiguous states in USA are states that share borders, it doesn't include Alaska and Hawaii. This land is surrounded by lake waters and Canada land on all sides.
