North West Angle, MN

 Another interesting anomaly of US map  is North West Angle.  It comes under Minnesota state, USA.  (Ref: Wikipedia image)  About this point:  Northwest angle is "angle" is north west of the Lake woods in Minnesota. It is exactly north of 49th parallel. It is the only place north of 49th which forms the border of US and Canada. This is also US exclave.  NW angle is the northern most point of 48 contiguous US.  Contiguous states in USA are states that share borders, it doesn't include Alaska and Hawaii.  This land is surrounded by lake waters and Canada land on all sides. Hilbert Infinite Hotel Paradox

  INTRESTING FACTS IN MATH This is details about all interesting facts I learn in Math.  Hilbert infinite hotel paradox.  Today I will discuss the Hilbert infinite hotel paradox.  Imagine a hotel with infinite rooms. And now infinite guests are already in each room. So now the problem is we have new infinite guests coming to check-in the hotel. How do we solve the problem where new guests also have rooms to stay?  Let's assume that all the rooms are similar in size and each guest is a single guest.  Now , we can solve by , putting each guest in 2*n where n is the hotel room number.  So lets say guest A is in room # 1, he will go to room #2, guest from room # 2 will go to 4, guest from #3 will go to 6, so on and so forth. Old guest room # New guest room # 1 2 2 4 3 6 10 20 15 30 17 34 123 246  So now even rooms are filled.  So now the new guests can go to odd number rooms starting from 1, 3, and so on.    There are many other popular...

49th parallel (Oregon Treaty of 1846)

 Oregon Treaty The Oregon treaty was signed to settle the long standing dispute between the US and British(now Canada). This treaty resolved the western border between the United States and British Canada Oregon Country Before the treaty was signed, Oregon Country was jointly owned by Britain and US. Oregon Country later became part of current Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana and Wyoming. It was signed by President James Polk and John Tyler on July 16th 1846. Below is the map of the Oregon Country. Wikipedia image of Oregon Country    49th Parallel One of the key feature of the treaty is  establishment of 49th parallel line(49N latitude) as border between countries.
